Rare Book Hub: 75 Auctions Archived, another 38 Upcoming this Week

For the week ended 14 July, 75 auctions were archived to Rare Book Hub’s Transactions+ database; 2 denominated in Australian dollars, 8 in British pounds, 29 in euros, 1 in Mexican pesos, 1 in Norwegian krone, and 34 in US dollars.

 

Turnover was $32,692,340.73 as 68.78% of all lots changed hands.  There were 30,336 offered and 20,866 transacted.  The average lot sold for $1,566.78.

 

During the deep summer months, some auction houses clean up unsold or unoffered material leading us to see unusually large numbers of lots.  But, because the underlying market is strong, we can also see major sales.  This week it's a combination of both.  It’s housecleaning and gangbusters!!
