Rare Book Hub: 21 Auctions Archived, another 14 Upcoming this Week

For the week ended Saturday 25 August 2018 21 auctions were archived to the Rare Book Hub Transaction Database; 1 denominated in euros, 3 in British pounds, 1 in Mexican pesos, and 16 in US dollars.  Turnover was $14,630,994 as 4,915 lots were offered and 4,282 sold for an 87% success rate.  As we have come to expect, when the number of lots offered declines the percentage of lots sold rises.  Why?  Because interest in buying is relatively constant so constant interest pursuing fewer lots generates higher bids.  This is the way it works.
