53 Auctions Archived, 42 Sales Upcoming

For the week ended Saturday, November 12th, 53 auctions were archived to the Rare Book Hub Database; 18 denominated in euros, 12 in British pounds, 2 in Mexican pesos, and 21 in US dollars.  Turnover was $35,146,188 as 21,678 lots were offered and 14,518 sold for a slim 67% success rate.  In the aftermath of the Trump victory we saw bond yields surge and auction outcomes decline.  The boat should soon steady for under the Trump plan income taxes will be reduced and inheritance taxes eliminated.  The wealthiest citizens, that broadly support the high end of the book, manuscript, map and ephemera, will have plenty of money to spend.  The problem will be where the market is softest now, from the mid-level down.
