Auction Update Review

Enjoy the last days of summer: the fall will rise
For the week ending Saturday August
18th, 2012 six auctions were archived to the AED; 1 each in euros
and British pounds and 4 in US dollars.
One thousand five hundred and sixty-nine lots were offered and 1,283
sold for an 82% success rate. Turnover
was $424,184 or 61% of the aggregate of the high estimates of all lots offered
- $697,122. The material all summer has
been interesting and this week has been no exception.
While the dollar volume has been
light the percentage of lots sold has been robust. Of the six sales reported this week 4 reached
80% and the other two were not far behind.
I list all six.
