Description

Holabird Associates, or since its 2005 merger with Kagin's, Holabird-Kagin Americana, presents auctions specializing in numismatics, the American West, and mining history. The firm is located in Reno, Nevada. Founder Fred Holabird is a mineral geologist who has been active in the operation of mines and environmental clean-ups, but who also maintains a keen interest in mining history and related books. His interest in minerals connects to an interest in coins, and hence the logical combination with Kagin's, a numismatic specialist. Kagin's was established in 1933 and has continued to be operated by founder Art Kagin's family ever since.

This source is no longer operating under these names, but is currently doing business as Holabird Western Americana Collections.
