As a result, such fields as Americana and Australiana were found in the categories of books offered. The firm sold strictly books and related material. Its business model was to offer auctions every five weeks. Books could only by offered by booksellers who were members in good standing of a recognized trade association or who had been vetted by Auction Explorer. This offered buyers added security as to the quality and accuracy of descriptions of material. The firm operated under the name AuctionExplorerBooks.com. from 2005-2009. In 2010, the name was changed to AntiquarianAuctions.com. Records from 2010 forward appear in this database under the new name. |
