For the week ended Friday 27 August 2021, 30 auctions were archived to Rare Book Hub's Transactions+ Database, 1 in Colombian pesos, 1 in Danish krone, 6 in euros, 2 in British pounds, and 20 in US dollars.

 

Turnover was $31,335,001 as 85% of all lots sold.  There were 8,363 offers posted and 7,085 changed hands.  The average lot brought $4,423.

 

Two sales dominated the week; Heritage’s Summer Platinum Night Sports Auction and, Bonhams’ The Early West:  The Collection of Jim and Theresa Earle.  The Platinum Sale brought $15,938,702 and Bonhams’ Early West $12,387,053.  The gun that killed Billy the Kid brought $6,030,312.
