The firm's primary work consists of appraisals and collection development for institutional and private clients.Usually one or two sales are conducted per year. Notice goes to an international clientele of buyers. The auctions typically are single-owner collections with focus. Creating finely printed catalogues with lasting value and excellent cataloguing is the hallmark of the firm. The catalogues are posted on the internet and at the Americana Exchange site. The live auctions are held in pleasing settings, such as the Society of California Pioneers in San Francisco, the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, etc.
