New catalogues reviewed this month.


For August, we have 17 new bookseller catalogues to review. This month we have first catalogues from Better World Books, which is focused on spare parts, human ones, that is, and Sophia Rare Books, which features science and mathematics. Jeff Weber Rare Books also presents science, along with astronomy. Sotheran's offers works on natural history.

Nautical books and the sea are featured by the Columbia Trading Co. and the Ten Pound Island Book Co. Just add some ice and you have Bjarne Tokerud, Bookseller's, catalogue - Arctic and Canadiana. Jonathan Potter Ltd. will help you find your way with a collection of antique maps. The William Reese Co. can show you what all this traveling was for - world trade.

The book arts are featured by the Veatchs Arts of the Book, while Thomas A. Goldwasser Rare Books has a collection of fine books and more. Librairie Thomas-Scheler has fine antiquarian books. The American West is the subject for Old West Books, the French and Indian War and American Revolution the topic for the George S. MacManus Co. James Pepper Rare Books features film and literature. Marc Selvaggio, Bookseller, has a collection of ephemera, while Garrett Scott, Bookseller, offers his usual catalogue of unusual, even strange old pamphlets.
