Thirteen catalogues are reviewed this month.


This month we review 13 new catalogues from booksellers. Western Americana is the feature of catalogues from Back of Beyond Books and Gene Baade, Bookseller. David Lesser Antiquarian Books offers Americana but with a more eastern orientation. The William Reese Company is focused on Americana during the Age of Jackson. The Raab Collection offers signed American documents.

Surprisingly, French bookseller Les Trois Islets has a good collection of Americana, along with voyages, atlases, science and more. There are collections of outstanding books offered by English dealer Peter Harrington Antiquarian Bookseller and a combined offering from Dutch booksellers the Antiquariaat Forum and Asher Rare Books. The book arts, printing, and hoaxes are among the topics covered by the Veatchs Arts of the Book.

A history of ideas is featured by Sotheran's. Maritime collectibles are offered by the Ten Pound Island Book Company. Kenneth Karmiole, Bookseller, has a catalogue devoted to leaf books. Literature and film are the main subjects for James Pepper Rare Books.
