Sixteen New Catalogues Reviewed

This month we review 16 new bookseller catalogues we received. Hordern House has created a spectacular catalogue for a collection of works relating to Captain William Bligh, noted for Mutiny on the Bounty fame. The Ten Pound Island Book Co. offers works from the Laurence Urdang maritime book collection. Rudi Thoemmes Rare Books presents items of American Philosophy, while Clark Rare Books and Gene W. Baade offer works on the American West. The William Reese Company looks at America's rise to globalism, from 1865-1941.

Carpe Diem Fine Books presents a collection from 20th century illustrator, writer and artist Jo Mora. Kelmscott Bookshop Rare Books features fine presses, artists' books, and history. James Pepper Rare Books focuses on literature, mystery and film, as does Waverly Books. Aleph-Bet Books offers a collection of 600 children's books.

Gert Jan Bestebreurtje Rare Books is focused on the Dutch overseas, including in America. Joe Rubinfine presents a new group of important, signed American documents. Plaza Books' focus turns to Latin American and Spanish items. Garrett Scott, Bookseller, has another of his catalogues of the unusual, while Martayan Lan gives us a peek at an upcoming catalogue of important early maps.
