Eleven Catalogues Under Review
Eleven new bookseller catalogues are reviewed in this month's Review Section of AE Monthly. There are catalogues of "books about books," primarily from America by Oak Knoll Books, and primarily from Europe by Frits Knuf Antiquarian Books. The William Reese Company offers over 900 items of literature, while Waverly Books features literature and film-related items.
David M. Lesser Antiquarian Books presents inexpensive Americana. Plaza Books is focused on close neighbors, Mexico and Latin America. Garrett Scott, Bookseller has a new collection of unusual pamphlets and books mostly from America and England.
Michael Brown Rare Books has a wonderful, thoroughly described collection of manuscripts. I.D. Edrich presents books from their "Bridge" Room (you'll have to read the review to see what that means). Aleph-Bet Books has another outstanding collection of children's books, while the Lawbook Exchange features historic legal texts.
