What to Expect

  • Exhibitors: Scores of antiquarian book, print, map, and paper dealers from Texas, across the United States, and internationally.
  • Selection: Rare books, fine bindings, literary first editions, Texana and historical documents, vintage paper ephemera, illustrated works, and collectible prints.

A note about this and other book fairs. They have become the replacement of the many book shops that once lined the street of America. The Internet damaged the “shop” model causing most bookshops’ public locations to close. They’ve always had their stock but most of their sales have gone online.

What was lost was the precious interpersonal interaction that the field has long thrived on. Enterprising dealers, their organizers and organizations have created book fairs the past decade to replace the brick-and-mortar experience with the fun of “the circus is coming to town” booksellers’ bacchanals.

If you can, join ‘em!
