A source for collectible paper over the past 80 years
Cohasco: An Interesting Source for RBH readers
Cohasco, Inc.
9 Manor House Square
Yonkers, NY 10701
After the end of World War II, dealers and auction houses quickly emerged to test the market, Cohasco, Inc. of Yonkers, New York among them. About a hundred firms would try their hand running collectible paper auctions over the next 4 decades. Cohasco would be one of the few to continue to offer their sales today. In 1946 they issued their first catalogue. In time they offered both fixed price catalogues and by-mail auction sales.
Over the past eighty years they have continued to offer 1 or 2 catalogues per year. They were a pioneer in focusing on manuscripts and ephemera.
Cohasco is now our 517th source.
Their selections, descriptions and prices capture the spirit of the rising market.
For our paid services members, they will find their catalogues under Cohasco.
