Australian Book Auctions was founded in 1999 as Australia's first and only specialist auction house for books and related material. A decade later, it held the record for the top prices paid at auction for printed Australiana, as well as selling the most important Australian collection in private hands, the Davidson collection, which took in over A$13 million. Among the subjects of the books, manuscripts and related material the firm sells are travel, voyage art, modern first editions, children's books, art and illustrated books, private press, literary and historical manuscripts, historical and topographical art, militaria, Australiana, and sport. Their location is in Armdale, Victoria.
