Nintendo Cereal System - Unfolded Factory Box Flat - VGA 85+ [Nintendo Power Save $6 Offer], NES Ralston 1988 USA. This is a rare, unfolded factory box flat for Nintendo Cereal System, the memorable breakfast cereal inspired by the Nintendo Entertainment System. This variant is represented by just two examples listed on VGA's June census, featuring the "Save $6 Nintendo Power" promotional offer. Released by Ralston Cereals in 1988 and discontinued the following year, Nintendo Cereal System featured a dual-sided cereal box cleverly designed around two of Nintendo's biggest franchises: Super Mario Bros., which offered fruity-flavored cereal pieces, and The Legend of Zelda, which offered berry-flavored cereal pieces. Today, surviving unopened boxes and production materials such as this factory flat are highly sought-after collectibles, ideal for display.
