Takayuki Doi Weekly Shonen Jump "Jump Broadcasting Station" Illustration Original Art (Shueisha, c. 1980s-90s). "Jump Broadcasting Station" served as the letters page for the popular boys manga publication Weekly Shonen Jump from 1982-1995, a feature so popular that it amassed nearly 40,000 letters a week by the time of its closing. Doi served as the primary illustrator, known for including caricatures of various editors that took on lives of their own as they nestled up to commentary from young readers across Japan. This illustration of an unnamed character was published as Pages 62-63 in Issue #16 of an unknown year and was included as a gag about a role playing game, a fitting contribution as both longtime editor Akira Sakuma and Doi would go on to establish the video game series Momotarou Dentetsu which released over 40 titles from 1988-2012.
