Item 204 is one of the earliest pieces on the Texas Revolution, History of the Revolution in Texas by Rev. Chester Newell, published in 1838. Newell spoke to many early Texas figures, such as Sam Houston, and writes about the events leading up to the revolution, and the revolution itself, as well as matters of geography, education, religion, etc. £4000 (US $7,977). Item 207 is another early (1838) Texas item, Ordinances and Decrees of the Consultation, Provisional Government of Texas... The provisional government of Texas was short lived. Formed on November 15, 1835, it ceased operation three and one-half months later when, the Alamo under siege, Texas declared its independence. Item 207. £4,000 (US $7,977).

For those who prefer not to read, item 241 is an unusual rarity. It is the words of the great Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton, but they are not written. This is a 1909 wax cylinder recording of his voice, where he recites, "we reached a point within 97 geographic miles of the South Pole." At the time, it was the farthest south anyone had gone. However, the loss of food when a pack pony fell into a crevasse prevented them from making the final run to the Pole. £4,000 (US $7,977).
