A Variety from James Cummins Bookseller

Item 4 is a copy of My Crowd by Charles Addams, a 1970 second printing. It is inscribed to Addams' friend Nathaniel Benchley, a children's author and son of writer Robert Benchley, father of writer Peter Benchley. Addams has drawn an original pen and ink and watercolor inside, with his characters Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley and Wednesday Addams cutting a birthday cake which, in icing, spells out, “Happy Birthday Nathaniel 1971.” $5,500.

Item 5 is an album of original watercolor flowers by an amateur who was certainly spectacularly talented for an amateur. There are 42 watercolors circa 1831-1865. A presentation reads, “Emily Davis / A Legacy from her cousin / Emma White, / The Artist. / Obit 18 April 1888.” $6,000.
