Signed Items from David Schulson Autographs

What does the great physicist, Enrico Fermi, one of those who worked on the first nuclear reactions, and bird illustrator John James Audubon, who lived a century earlier, have in common? Not much of which we are aware, but item 8 is a block of 15 U.S. one-cent stamps with the image of Audubon, signed along the blank margin by Fermi. $500.

For those who like cartoons, here is a perfect item for your collection. It's seven signed drawings of famous cartoon characters by their artists. Steve Hickner has drawn Roger Rabbit, Charles Schultz Snoopy, Hank Ketcham Dennis the Menace, Chris Browne Hagar the Horrible, Art Clokey Gumby, Johnny Hart B.C., and Brad Anderson Marmaduke. This leads me to a mystery I have never been able to fathom. What is the appeal of Marmaduke? Has it ever been funny? Some of the others can be fairly lame most of the time, but I have yet to see Marmaduke ever be remotely entertaining, even once. Do people read it waiting for that first day he will be funny? No wonder it has managed to keep an audience for over half a century. Item 2. $2,000.
