Fifteen catalogues are reviewed in Section Two.


This month we review fifteen new booksellers' catalogues in Section Two. Quite a few in the field of Americana recently arrived. David Lesser Antiquarian Books offers his 100th catalogue of rare Americana. J&J Hanrahan has a selection of early Americana. From William Reese there is Western Americana, Hispanica Americana from Buenos Aires' Antique Bookshop, American atlases, directories and more from High Ridge Books, and American documents and signatures from Joe Rubinfine.

Gem and jewelry books are offered by 12th Street Booksellers. There are many exceptional items from new Southern California bookseller Michael Sharpe Rare and Antiquarian Books (several associates were formerly with the legendary Heritage Book Shop). Eveleigh Books has naval history. Gert Jan Bestebreurtje Rare Books presents an enormous collection from the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia). Aleph-Bet has an outstanding new group of children's books, James Cummins Bookseller the same for sporting books. Bernard J. Shapero Rare Books offers a catalogue of "Pilots of the Caribbean." From James Pepper Rare Books there are more works of cinema, literature and mystery, while the Lawbook Exchange offers items of legal history.
