C.H. Booth's Annual Book Fair: July 10-14
- by Bruce E. McKinney
The Friends of the C. H. Booth Library in Newtown, Connecticut are again staging their Annual Five-Day Book Fair. This year, their 50th, begins Friday July 10 at noon. Their approach has always been to both have a great time and earn money for their library. To do this they encourage folks to consider them as their solution when they are downsizing and have printed material to contribute. In this way they accumulate thousands of donations that they turn into their annual book fair stock. In this way the Booth Friends turn your gifted material into opportunities for new arrivals and families who are looking to fill their shelves. It’s fun, efficient and satisfying.
This year’s event is again a Five-Day affair.
Friday July 10. PREVIEW 1-5. The first day you get first pick. For that opportunity they ask a $20 donation and limit those tickets to 250 admissions. The ticket window opens at 11:00 am and the fair opens at noon and closes at 5:00 pm.
Saturday July 11. 10-5. $5 admission (under 18 free). Ticket sales start Saturday at 9 am. $3 off purchase with coupon.

Monday July 13. 10-7 (50% off)
