Doug Johns Re-Locates to Albuquerque

- by Bruce E. McKinney

Johns' Western Gallery in Albuquerque

Doug Johns, long of San Francisco and for many years involved in the sale of books, maps, manuscripts, ephemera and historical artifacts has, with his wife Celeste, moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and re-established his long time business, Johns’ Western Gallery there.  In this location the emphasis shifts to painting and sculpture with a continuing place for printed material.  The new facility, in the Albuquerque Old Town, is a 2,500 square foot shop near to the north-south and east-west highways US 25 and US 40.

His newly-adopted city is at the center of a state both historic and complex.  Santa Fe lies to the north, El Paso to the south.  Flagstaff, Arizona is due west and Oklahoma City a full day east.

The latch string is out and the Johns welcome old friends and fresh faces.
