For the week ending the 24th of September, 42 auctions were archived, generating $17,785,019 in sales. Eight of these sales were denominated in euros, 9 in British pounds, and 25 in U. S. dollars. A total of 12,052 lots were offered, while 9,399 were sold, for a robust success rate of 78%. The fall auction season has quickly swung into action. Last week's sales were less than $3 million. Thirty-seven more auctions are scheduled for the coming week. Look for heavy action going forward all the way until the middle of December.
