10 New Catalogues Reviewed This Month

- by Michael Stillman

For August, we review ten new bookseller catalogues. Maggs Bros. and John Windle Antiquarian Bookseller offer catalogues of travel and voyages. Several booksellers target books about America. The William Reese Company has new acquisitions in Americana; Michael D. Heaston Rare Books & Manuscripts features Americana primarily related to the West; the George S. MacManus Company the Civil War.

Marc Selvaggio Books & Ephemera focuses on the Fascist Era in Italy. Peter Harrington offers modern literature. Shapero Rare Books' topic is four centuries of knowledge. Two catalogues are suited to those who read French: rare smaller format books from Librairie Clavreuil, and uncommon and valuable books from Michael Scagnamillo Livres Ancien et Moderne.
